St. Joseph's Monastery Church was built by the Saint Chavara Kuriakose Elias. Thousands of christian pilgrims likely to participated in a Mass at St. Joseph’s Monastery ,Mannanam on 23 November 2014 to pay homage to Chavarayachan, even as the Pope Francis declared Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara as saint in Vatican. St. Joseph's is a Syro-Malabar Monastery located at Mannanam in Kottayam district of Kerala, where the mortal remains of Kuriakose Elias Chavara housed. Festival of Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara will be celebrated on 3rd January 2015.
